Boua & Edgard: Engaged! 03.22.12

When I met Boua and Edgard last year, they had dreamed of a cherry blossom engagement shoot and had told me they wanted to shoot at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco.  So we waited for the trees to bloom their gorgeous white and pink flowers. And waited. And waited.  AND WAITED. Until we could not postpone the shoot any longer.  The wedding was about a month away so we had to do the shoot.  When we got there, we were a bit disappointed there was not a whole lot of cherry blossoms but it was just enough.  The Japanese Tea Garden was just so gorgeous, we could not really let the lack of cherry blossoms bring us down.  We took a bit longer than the typical two hours to shoot because I couldn’t help but say “This is perfect! Let’s shoot here” literally every 5 steps.  That’s how beautiful the garden was!

And when you have a guy like Edgard, who can make Boua laugh every 5 seconds, it was just perfect.  Boua and Edgard wanted two very different type of photos.  She wanted more posed photos and he wanted more candid.  But my favorite?  Their laughing photos.  I am in love with every single photo of them laughing.  You can’t help but laugh along with them so this was definitely a fun day.

Boua and Edgard, thanks for bringing so much love and laughter to the shoot!!  I can’t wait to celebrate with you later this month at your wedding!!

Here are some of my favorite photos from Boua and Edgard’s shoot!!

Boua is originally from Laos and Edgard is from the Philippines.   They brought their custom designed traditional Lao clothing but with a modern twist.  I loved how they looked!!
