The one thing I absolutely love about being a wedding photographer is that I come across all these amazing people. As I get to know them, I love how they quickly become new friends. Miya and Chris is one such couple – someone who I just knew when we first met, it was just a beginning of an amazing friendship. There was just something about them that immediately put me at ease and I can’t help but smile and laugh with them. So it was extra special for me to shoot their wedding earlier this month.
Miya and Chris were married in an old theater in Berkeley called the Hillside Club. The original plan was to have the ceremony at the nearby Tilden Park but it had been raining earlier in the week. So rather than deal with the muddy mess, they decided to move the ceremony to the Hillside Club, which worked out just perfectly because the building was just gorgeous!! Built in the 1920′s, the Hillside Club was unique and so full of character. I could just imagine all the stories being told in that old theater over the years and now we can add one more love story – Miya and Chris’.
Congratulations you two!! I am so happy to be a part of your special day and be in presence of such great love. I can’t wait to see you both again!!
